About this Event
Whether you’re looking to supplement your income, test out a new business idea, or pursue a passion project, a Side Hustle is an effective idea to test your entrepreneurial skills. Many Side Hustle businesses go on to become successful full-time businesses. About 28% of Canadian adults engage in side hustles (side businesses)*. This number keeps growing every year. However, there can be pitfalls and missteps that can derail your side venture. In this workshop you’ll learn how to read the danger signs and what to do instead.
Join Dominik Loncar, Entrepreneur-in-residence, Futurpreneur Canada, for an interactive workshop designed to equip you with the tools and strategies to successfully start and manage a side business.
You'll leave with practical tools and a roadmap—whether you're designing a new product, offering freelance services, or starting a small e-commerce brand.
Dominik Loncar is an Entrepreneur-in-residence for Futurpreneur Canada, a national, non-profit organization that provides financing, mentoring and support tools to aspiring business owners aged 18-39. He has started three businesses (including a social purpose business). For the last two decades Dominik has helped over 300 start-up businesses get off the ground. He has worked with entrepreneurs from a cross section of industries: from IT, online, retail, service, traditional to innovative-based businesses. Some of the entrepreneurs he has worked with have been featured in the popular TV show, The Dragons’ Den. Dominik has a down-to-earth approach that gets entrepreneurs to focus on priorities that matter.
