ON OUR TRAVELS is a street photography workshop and an invitation to see differently — to turn walking through the city into a visual practice, to notice emotion in simple things, and to build the image in your mind before capturing it with your camera.
The Nonconformist, an artist from Stuttgart who lived in Zürich and London, will guide you in discovering the beauty of Timișoara through your own vision and through the lens of the camera or phone.
Livia Mateiaș, visual artist and photographer, invites you to create images from light, urban rhythms, and fragments of life that become visual poetry.
Two days of exploration, dialogue, and photography, followed by a collective exhibition where participants’ works become part of a shared story.

Workshop
23 May - 14:30 - 18:30 - Meet & talk at DIGITAL:CANVAS\ - Spl. Peneș Curcanul nr. 4 - 5, 1st floor, C.30, Timișoara (entrance through the Azur building) - Then we explore the Fabric district
24 May - 14:30 - 18:30 - Meeting point: Unirii Square, next to the Art Museum - Discussion followed by a photo walk through the city
ON OUR TRAVELS - Group Exhibition - One Day Show
30 May - 19:00 - 22:00 – Exhibiting a selection of the best photographs created during the workshop

Participation fee:
400 lei for adults
300 lei for students or groups (minimum 3 people)
* All participants will receive participatig certificates and will exhibit in the group show.

About The Nonconformist
The Nonconformist grew up in Stuttgart’s early punk scene, then moved through Zurich and London, influencing music, activism, fashion, and nightlife. He worked with bands like My Bloody Valentine, organized Björk’s first London concert, photographed for the London School of Fashion, and DJed across the city. After 2000, he reinvented himself as an ecological garden designer, driven by a deep love for nature and humanity’s future. Today, The Nonconformist brings all his passions together in a daily visual chronicle and supports creatives worldwide through his stories and platforms.
About Livia Mateiaș
A visual artist based in Timișoara, Livia works with image as a form of observation and presence. Trained in visual arts (BA, MA, and PhD in Graphic Arts at UVT), she was also a member of the Nufărul Photographic Art Club in Oradea. Through photography, she explores the relationship between people, space, and the subtle emotions of everyday life. She is co‑founder of the DIGITAL:CANVAS\ platform and the artouching studio, where she develops artistic and educational projects.
