Like Voces 8 and the other new generation of choral groups vying to establish a niche on the choral circuit, the Omnium Ensemble is busily establishing itself under its dynamic director Olivia Earl as aforce to be reckoned with. This spring they are presenting a two concert tour in Cornwall with an innovative programme of music devoted mostly to new composer voices in the tonal tradition. They are also inviting local Cornish guest choirs to sing and rehearse with them at both concerts . At the Roseland's concert it will be the super-local Gerrans Parish Church Choir who will rehearse and then sing some songs together - AND the audience can also take part in a Judith Weir piece.
Russell Pascoe the Cornish composer is included in the main programme lineup. Gerald Finzi, John Rutter and William Harris are more familiar names which demonstrate that this will be a melliflous choral concert which will include new voices.
This concert will be the penultimate in the current season and will take place in Gerrans Church
