Hello terrestrials, We are so happy to announce the next OMFI evening ! this year OMFI comes with an important novelty, we are welcoming for this season some different artists that are connected to movement , we want to mix different practices to the improvised soundscape! We are glad to invite three best performers :
/ FANNY BROUYAUX /
Fanny Brouyaux is a Brussels-based choreographer and performer trained at P.A.R.T.S. (Performing Arts Research and Training Studios).
After completing her studies, she created several site-specific and in situ performances in collaboration with musicians and sound artists Christian Schreurs and Yann Leguay, including Osa Mayor and Un Bruit, presented at events such as La Nuit des Chercheurs, Museum Night Fever, D-Festival, Molendance Festival, and for the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Moroccan immigration in Belgium. She then founded her company, Too Moved to Talk, within which she created the stage productions De la poésie, du sport, etc. in 2019, developed in collaboration with actress and performer Sophie Guisset; Warm in 2021; and To Be Schieve or a Romantic Attempt in 2024.
Her main thematic interests include invisible forms of care and emancipatory systems and mechanics. Her choreographic work focuses on disturbance and detail through the deconstruction of gesture. Drawing on stagings of figures or archetypal characters at the intersection of dance, theatre, and performance, she invites audiences to reflect, observe, and experience dance through codes that she decontextualizes.
As a performer, she has worked with the companies Radical Low / Chantal Yzermans, Anania / Taoufiq Izeddiou, Nyash / Caroline Cornélis, Abis / Julien Carlier, La Peau de l’Autre / Marie Limet, as well as with Julie Bougard, Marco Torrice, and Baptiste Conte.
