Please join Dr. Ponton and Delores to learn fun ways to support your brain health. By the end of the session, participants will be able to describe three ways that games can positively affect the aging brain, name two games that help improve cognitive function and reduce stress, recall three resources that can assist themselves or a loved one with brain health, and identify one activity that can help keep their mind sharp. Dr. Ponton typically sees patients in area nursing homes. She specializes in geriatrics, long term care, palliative care, memory care, dementia, preventative and therapeutic care and shared decision making. The care OMC’s clinicians provide in these settings is important to the residents’ quality of life, the residents’ families, the relationships with the facilities, and helps keep residents stable and out of the emergency department. Delores Ulbricht, RN, supports Olmsted Medical Center’s Active Aging Services by providing personalized, compassionate care that helps older adults stay healthy, independent, and engaged in their daily lives.
