You can also Meghan Burrows, an OLLI staff member, for a SPECIAL esports showcase of Pokémon Champions. It will be held on Day One of the OLLI Summer Games, June 11th, beginning at 1:30pm. It will feature live online battles in the official ranked doubles format and singles, with the current season two regulation M-A ruleset.
Learn about one of the longest-running esports in modern gaming history, the importance of adapting to a constantly shifting strategy “metagame” landscape, why it appeals to players of all ages, and understand current controversies surrounding AI (or "bot") use in these online gaming communities. Of course, you also get to watch the battles in real time — win or lose.
