About this Event
Ever stood in front of the olive oil shelf thinking, “What am I actually meant to be looking for?” Or wondered why some oils taste bright and peppery while others feel soft and buttery?
Olive Oil 101 is a relaxed, practical tasting class where we’ll teach you how to taste olive oil properly, understand what quality looks (and tastes) like, and how to choose the right oil for the right job — cooking, dressing, finishing, or dipping. We’ll taste oils side by side, talk through varieties and regions, and share the simple buying cues that make all the difference.
You’ll leave with a sharper palate, a clear sense of what you like, and a new appreciation for what really is liquid gold.
Your ticket includes
- A guided, seated class with plenty of conversation and questions encouraged
- A tasting flight of 5-6 olive oils with bread for tasting
- 1–2 small dishes showcasing olive oil in action (so you can taste how it behaves with food)
- Practical guidance on how to buy, store and use olive oil at home
