About this Event
You are invited to wedding of Ole Olafsson Jr., a Norwegian, and Lena Handspringinnen, a Finn! Of course, their nuptials go down about as nicely as a mouthful of Lutefisk. Lena’s mother, Gladys, fusses over all the food she’s prepared “without any help from anyone” for the reception. An accordion player comes down from Eveleth because all the Catholics are getting married, and the organists were all booked up. Finally, after 45 minutes of service, the guests retire to the banquet hall for food and a chance to do the Hokey Pokey, the Chicken Dance, and the Polka.
