About this Event
Step into the birthplace of San Diego for a one-of-a-kind afternoon of history, mystery, and social adventure. Explore Old Town while unraveling the strange disappearance of an unlucky tourist who never made it back to his hotel. Come solo or bring friends—either way, you’ll be part of a fun, interactive experience. After the hunt, we’ll wrap up the day by gathering at a local watering hole to relax, mingle, and celebrate.
How It Works:
We’ll meet promptly at 1pm on the steps of the Immaculate Conception Church.
Flying solo? No problem—we’ll organize teams of 4–6 people, making it easy to meet others.
Each team will follow a trail of clues retracing the steps of Tommy the Tourist from Spokane who mysteriously vanished during his visit to Old Town.
You’ll have 90 minutes to explore historic buildings, shops, and landmarks as you collect clues, complete challenges, and piece together what happened.
At the end of the hunt, everyone will regroup at a nearby bar for food, drinks, and socializing while we tally scores and announce the winning team.
Cost:
$20 per person (includes the scavenger hunt only). Food and drinks are pay-as-you-go afterward.

Absolutely—most people do! It’s a great way to meet new people.
What will we be doing?
All clues are based on real elements of Old Town—buildings, plaques, shops, and more. You’ll also complete fun photo challenges and collect items along the way. No experience needed.
