About this Event
From farming hamlet to industrial epicenter, the Village of North Milwaukee emerged from intersecting railroads connecting Milwaukee, St. Paul, and Chicago. Annexed in 1929, the then City of North Milwaukee stood as one of only two Milwaukee neighborhoods that was once a self-governing municipality (also Bay View).
Discover industry from yester-year as we cruise the Corridor, see where a young William Harley (before Davidson) earned his chops, and cross the tracks into "Red Town" territory. Learn the local scandals of founding fathers postmaster Payne and Henry Villard, visit the Village Hall, and trek through historic downtown Villard Avenue. Join North Milwaukee enthusiast Brian Rott, for a fun and informative, off-road tour through one of Milwaukee's most interesting and up-and-coming boroughs!
This tour is not wheelchair accessible.
