Join us for an evening of Classic American Whiskey and Wild Game as Chef Michael Mahalick and Chef de Cuisine Marco Hilton present to you a Wild Game Dinner along with the Whiskies and Bourbons of Old Forester.The First Bottled Bourbon, Old Forester, was born in Kentucky in the year 1870 by Founder, George Garvin Brown. Named after Dr. William Forester, Old Forester was originally produced at 90 proof and packaged in glass bottles that were personally signed by George Brown as a testament to their quality.
On 14 November, Chef Michael will present a selection of the libations of Old Forester along with a culinary exploration of Wild Game. The menus is as follows:
- Boar Rilletes: Grilled Bread, Persimmon, Country Mustard
- Kentukyaki Wing: Confit Duck Wing, Ginger, Soy, Brown Sugar
- Intermezzo Calvados Sorbet
- Bone in Venison Ribeye: Butternut Squash Dauphinoise, Winter Fruit Chutney, All Spice Red Wine Demi
- Derby Pie: Chocolate, Walnuts, Brown Sugar, Old Forester, Cool Whip
And the Whiskey..... The experience includes 1oz each of the following Old Forester Whiskeys:
- 86 Proof
- 100 Proof
- 1870 Original Batch
- 1920 Prohibition
We will also feature:
- Old Forester Cask Strength Bourbon
- Old Forester Cask Strength Rye
- 1910 Old Fine Whiskey Double Barrel
Our full cocktail menu, wine list and all beverages will be available this evening in addition to Old Forester options. Other food items will not be available as this will be the only food menu served on this evening. Cost for the food and 4oz of the above four Old Forester Bourbons is $120 per person. Additional Old Forester Whiskies can be purchased a la carte as well as Old Forester based cocktails available throughout the evening.
