Join Edwards Place and the Springfield Art Association this Memorial Day for an Old Fashioned Ice Cream Social! This event, as part of the Route 66 Centennial Celebration and in partnership with Capital City Bourbon Journey, will bring new flair to an old tradition. This ice cream social doesn't just offer delicious sundaes - it also offers Old Fashioned cocktails for those over 21. Emerald's Eats will be catering "barbeque-esque" small bites. This outdoor event held on the lawn of Edwards Place will have activities for everyone - from live, local bands to lawn games, attendees will enjoy the holiday while celebrating history in front of the oldest standing home in Springfield. We are happy to announce that our two musical acts will be Dave Littrell and Nova. Dave Littrell is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Chatham. His songs pair his storytelling skills with methodical acoustic guitar playing, bouncing rock rhythms, and hook-filled melodies. Nova brings out Americana and covers to round out the afternoon with a relaxed feel.
Adult tickets will get a Prairie Farms ice cream sundae and 2 drink tickets. Child tickets will get an ice cream sundae. Both tickets include soda, water, and light foods during the event. Additional drink tickets can be purchased at the event (cash only) and tickets can be bought at the door.
