Please join us in celebrating our 30th anniversary of bringing Pro Rodeo to the Foothills!
The Okotoks Pro Rodeo features sanctioned Pro Rodeo contestants in all 7 (CPRA) Canadian Professional Rodeo Association events, who all vie for positions in the annual Canadian Finals Rodeo (CFR) which will be held in Red Deer, Alberta in October and the National finals (NFR) in Las Vegas, NV in December.
The action packed lineup will include Steer Wrestling, Tie Down Roping, Team Roping, Saddle Bronc, Bare Back, Barrel Racing and Bull Riding, plus our added events Ladies Breakaway Roping, Novice Boys Steer Riding, Novice Saddle Bronc and Novice Bull Riding. See broncs such as Awesome and Mucho Dinero, and OPR bull regulars VJV Whiskey Hand and Blow Me Away. PBR Bull of the Year Timberjam was at OPR in 2021!
At each day of our rodeo we feature our entertaining crowd events, Mutton Busting and Wild Pony Racing.
We will have food trucks at our event again! Check back to see what vendors will be tantalizing your tastebuds this year!
We will be drawing the winning ticket for our Cash raffle on Sunday! Buy a ticket for your chance to win one of three cash prizes: $10,000 first prize, $5000 second prize and $2500 third prize. Only 5000 tickets printed. Tickets are $10 each and will be available for purchase at the rodeo, and the Millarville Summer Market every Saturday starting starting June 18th! ONLINE TICKET SALES WILL END 12:01 AM AUGUST 28TH. TICKETS CAN BE PURCHASED AT THE GATE ON SUNDAY. GATE WILL OPEN AT 11:30.
The rodeo will proceed, rain or shine, unless conditions are unsafe for the competitors. In the event of inclement weather, notice of cancellation will be posted on OKOTOKS PRO RODEO Facebook page, www. okotoksprorodeo.com and Sun Country 99.7 FM .
