Come down to Art SUX Gallery on September 27th, from 10:30-12, and create “God’s Eyes” in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month…It’s a drop-in, make and take session with artists to help guide the kids if they need.
What is a God’s Eye?
Known as Ojos de Dios (oh-ho-day-DEE-ohs), “god’s eyes,” are objects made by the Huichol (wet-chol) indigenous people of Mexico.
The Huichol symbolism of the god’s eyes is primarily associated with the prayers for their children – prayers for a good long life, protection and to insure abundant crops.
The event will be hosted by Art SUX Gallery and located inside the gallery.
Free, fun and family friendly.
