This class will introduce you to the process and fundamental techniques of portrait oil painting. Students will be required to bring a reference photo to sketch basic shapes with contrasts of light/dark. Oil portraits are an art of layering the paint by creating a foundation which covers the canvas and then building forms of contrast and facial planes with shadow and blending. End with final touches that make the unique and personal.Instructor: Duane Webb
