Who: Motorcycle and all-terrain vehicle (quad) riders.What to expect: Bring your motorcycle or ATV on a fun run with your community. This marked course is an easy two-mile route following the main dirt and gravel roads through Zone 3 of the park. There are five educational stops along the route for riders to learn and practice the aspects of pre/post mechanical inspections as recommended by the Safety Vehicle Institute of America (SVIA). In addition, riders draw poker chips at each stop to score points for prizes awarded at the end of the run. All riders who finish the run will receive a commemorative finisher patch.
Where: Sign-in, start/finish, final point scoring and prizes are in the Main Staging Area (top of Pit Rd) at Prairie City SVRA.
Day/Time: Saturday, November 15, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Rider sign-in is 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Poker run is 10:00 a.m. to Noon. Poker run awards at 12:30 p.m.
Parking fee: $5 park day-use fee at entrance per car/truck.
Ages: All ages and skills levels welcome.
Preparation: Be sure to wear personal protective equipment for a safe and fun ride. Standards include DOT approved helmet, gloves, goggles, over the ankle boots, longs sleeves and long pants. For additional protection, wear a chest protector, knee/elbow guards, riding boots. No potable water on site, bring plenty of drinking water.
Special instructions: Run includes the gravel hill coming down from Spectator Hill which is above the Pro-Am MX Track. The event is rain or shine.
