SEMINARS AND EDUCATION
The OHA Convention offers a full weekend of training for haunters at all experience levels. Our 2026 seminar lineup includes a wide range of hands on and classroom style topics designed to help attendees develop new skills and strengthen their craft.
Areas of focus include:
• Haunt acting and character performance, including movement, vocal control, scare techniques, stamina, and creating strong on-floor characters
• Makeup, airbrush, and character design instruction, covering fast and effective applications, corpsing, aging, and practical approaches for busy haunts
• Creative fabrication and prop-building sessions, including low-cost scenic techniques, creature creation, and ways to enhance your haunt with accessible materials
• Lighting, sound, and basic technical production, helping haunters understand how to create atmosphere and use tools that enhance their scenes
• Haunt operations and management, covering safety, communications, staffing, leadership, and planning for a successful season
• Marketing, branding, and outreach topics for haunts looking to grow their audience and strengthen their online presence
• Specialty and alternative haunt concepts, including mobile and unique haunt formats and creative problem-solving for unconventional setups

SPECIAL HAUNTED ATTRACTIONS
In addition to the convention itself, attendees will have access to two operating haunted attractions during the weekend:
• Blood Prison at the Ohio State Reformatory will be open during the convention weekend
• Mohican Haunted House will be open on Friday night
Both attractions offer a unique opportunity to explore and enjoy live haunted entertainment while visiting Mansfield for the convention.

All admission, seminar, and Costume Ball tickets will be handled through the venue. Ticket information will be released soon.
