As practising Catholics we sometimes feel the need, or an inner urging, to do a little more than just attend Mass and be a good parishioner. If our faith is to be truly meaningful, we want it to shape our whole life — who we are and what we do. If you feel this way, God could be calling you to deepen your spirituality and add a new dimension to your life. Getting to know the Secular Franciscans may be a way to determine if you have a vocation.
✨Who are the Secular Franciscans?
We are Catholic lay men and women, married and single, who live and work in society according to our calling. No matter what that calling is, we try, as St. Francis did, to live all aspects of our life in accord with the spirit of the gospel.

✨Franciscan simplicity
Franciscan simplicity frees us from the trappings we’ve built our lives around. We carefully consider “needs” versus “wants” and make our decisions more consciously, more deliberately.

A deep and abiding love for Mary, the mother of Christ and our spiritual mother, is a characteristic mark of Franciscan Order.
✨Modest Life
Modesty is the beauty of all ages, a witness of innocence, the sign of a pure mind, the special glory of conscience, the protector of reputation, and the mark of thorough integrity.
✨Blessing of new beginning
St. Francis was a master of making room for the new and letting go of that which was tired or empty. Much of Francis’ genius was that he was ready for absolute “newness” from God, and therefore, could also trust fresh and new attitudes in himself.
