Join us to celebrate the debut works of Antonia Angress (Sirens & Muses), Maya Binyam (Hangman), Zain Khalid (Brother Alive), Tyriek White (We Are a Haunting), and Jenny Tinghui Zhang (Four Treasures of the Sky). The evening will include remarks and readings, hosted by Emmy-nominated comedian and writer Karen Chee.
The honorees will be introduced on stage by their selectors—five literary luminaries previously honored by the National Book Foundation: Charles Baxter, Adam Johnson, Laila Lalami, Alejandro Varela, and Tiphanie Yanique. Read more about this year’s honorees and selectors here.
