About this Event
Join us at Incline Studio for a morning exploring how design, materials, acoustics and technology are shaping the future workplace.
The session begins with the story behind Incline and the partnerships that helped bring the studio to life.
From there, a series of CPD-led talks will explore performance-led flooring specification, the role of acoustics in workplace wellbeing, and how technical decisions influence comfort, cognition and sustainability.
The morning continues with a panel discussion featuring architects, designers and workplace specialists, discussing how hybrid work is reshaping the spaces we design today.
We’ll also showcase how VR and AI tools are helping teams visualise and test material choices before construction begins, reducing risk and enabling better decisions earlier in the design process.
A morning of insight, technical learning and conversation for architects, designers and workplace professionals.

Human Conscious Design Principles by Tarkett - Designing for neuro-diversity
Host: Andy Craig- Tarkett UK & Ireland
Info: Human Conscious Design Principles is a dedicated CPD to support designing for neurodivergence. By the end of the seminar you will have a better understanding on what the term neurodiversity means, the neurodiversity movement and how neurodivergences can impact our daily lives.
The CPD will then look at some of the guidance and legislation that has been published which you can refer to in order to support your decision making. Based on the guidance and our own research into Human Conscious design, the CPD then explores the built environment and how to design it for neuro-inclusion, topics covered include: the building position and layout, wayfinding and signage, transitions, acoustics, lighting, fixtures, fittings and furniture, floor finishes, air quality, the impact of colour choice and the importance of quiet rooms.
🕑: 10:50 AM - 11:20 AM
Acoustics- Beyond the Surface
Host: Stephen Pierce-Koala Acoustics
Info: An introduction to the critical role acoustics play in workplace performance and wellbeing. Acoustics specialist Stephen Pierce will explore how sound behaves in interior environments, covering topics such as impact sound reduction, reverberation control, and the relationship between flooring systems and acoustic performance. The session will translate acoustic theory into practical design considerations, helping architects and designers better understand how material choices influence comfort, focus, and compliance in modern workplaces.
🕑: 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Panel Discussion: "Future Works-What does the Workplace Look Like Now?"
Host: John Wallace
Info: A forward-looking conversation with architects, designers, and workplace specialists exploring how the role of the office is evolving. The panel will discuss the realities of hybrid work, how workplaces are being redesigned for both focus and collaboration, and what employees now expect from the environments they work in. Topics will include wellbeing, sensory comfort, and how design can future-proof workplaces as work patterns continue to change.
🕑: 12:10 PM - 01:00 PM
Designing Before It’s Built – VR, AI & Visualisation Demonstration
Host: Rob van de Wetering- Pcon- Incline Space
Info: A live demonstration of how we help clients explore and refine spaces before construction begins. Using VR technology and AI-supported visualisation, we’ll show how architects, designers, and developers can experience materials, layouts, and design decisions in an immersive environment. This approach allows teams to test ideas, visualise material combinations, and align stakeholders earlier in the process — reducing late-stage changes and supporting faster, more confident design decisions.
