About this Event
This is a bit of a special one - 23 miles of undulating terrain, with a lot more off-road than usual so please bear in mind that slim road tyres will not be suitable for this ride. We will traverse lots of canalways and bridleways, parks and quiet roads, there will be plenty of gravel so a hybrid bike with good tyres is a must! This ride is suited for improver riders owing to the nature of the terrain, distance and elevation. There will be a cafe stop at Shipley Country Park at the halfway point where we will take pause to eat cake and coffee to celebrate LINDEN'S 70th BIRTHDAY!!!
We welcome women of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, we ride at the pace of the slowest rider, stop for breaks whenever you want and promise you will never be alone at the back!
MEETING POINT: The 508 Cafe in Wollaton Park (next to the Children's Playground). Click here for a google pin.
TIME: meet at 9:45am, ready to ride at 10am.

You’ll be in safe hands, we’re experienced ride leaders who love cycling. Before and during the ride we will be sharing all the tips and tricks to get the most out of cycling.
This ride is organised by Women in Tandem, a Community Interest Company based in Nottingham that aims to support and empower women to ride bikes. The session is funded by The National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund.
You won’t need anything fancy, just a bike that rides, comfortable weather-appropriate clothing, water, snacks and some enthusiasm for cycling! Let us know if there is anything we can do to help enable you to join this ride.
