Off the Canvas: Embroidery on Paper

Ever tried sewing or how about embroidering on paper instead of cloth?

Join our local genius-with-a-needle, Molly Smith, to learn how to add original texture and shapes to pretty papers. Attendees will learn embroidery techniques and simple stitches that can be used to create personalized art on paper.

All materials provided, including a variety of specialty papers from Paper Connection for each attendee!

Each participant will learn how to:

• Choose and work with thread
• Transfer designs to paper
• Thread a needle for embroidery
• Use simple stitches, including backstitch, satin stitch, and split stitch to create shapes and fill
• Tie off your threads and finishing

This event will run from 1:00 PM-3:00 PM
