Each episode is built from real conversations and moments with artists who live the culture day-to-day, how they create, collaborate and move their scene forward.
The Hobart episode turns the camera toward a place rarely centred in wider Australian rap coverage. With fewer visiting circuits and less outside attention, the community has grown tight, self-reliant and distinctly its own. Featuring Topski, Kiz, Hermit Kovacic, Greely, Grace Chia, Tommy Ray, Lachy Hamill and DunnD, the film captures a small city building momentum on its own terms. It’s not a history lesson, it’s a snapshot of the pride, relationships and energy driving Tasmanian hip hop right now.
We’re screening the Hobart episode in Melbourne to extend that spotlight beyond the island and connect scenes across state lines.
Live performances on the night from Tassie natives Lachy Hamill, Claira Vizzy and Brother Pete, with Pascal and DJ Transform joining the lineup.
