Of Mountains and Minds: Climbing for Good
Do you believe the outdoors positively contributes to one's mental well-being? If so, we invite you to join us at Common Roots Brewing Company for a special program called Of Mountains and Minds: Climbing for Good. A local young man, Vincent Sablich, and a recent graduate of Boston College, has used the sports of rock climbing and mountaineering to help him battle Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and embark on an adventure and challenge of a lifetime.
Vincent has set a goal of climbing the highest peak on each of the seven continents to raise awareness for those suffering in silence with OCD, and it all starts with Aconcagua, the highest point in the southern hemisphere. Situated in a remote part of Argentina, the peak requires stamina, training, and financing. Vincent has already proven he has both the stamina and training to accomplish this climbโฆhe just needs support to help finance it.
At Common Roots Brewing Company and Foundation, we have always been a resource whereby members of our community can reach out to us to help them achieve a dream or meet a challenge. We know that many in our community would benefit from learning more about how Vincent turned a challenging condition into a passion for the outdoors and mountaineering.
Please join us for a special event on Thursday, October 16, from 5-8 pm in the Bier Hall and Barrel Haus at Common Roots for an educational and inspiring evening.
