【注目リリースを重ねる初来日のOdopt、Powder & Mascarasと共演】Odoptは、長きにわたるDJキャリアの後に、デュオによる楽曲プロデュースを始め、ストックホルム拠点のBorn Free RecordsからデビューEP ’Sickert Art Bartel’を皮切りに、”EをExperimentalに直したEBM”という評価の通り、
体感と瞑想の境の無いトラックをリリースしてきた。
惜しくも延期となった2020年から5年越しの待望の初来日である今回、ROOM 1をシェアするのは、同じくBorn Freeから素晴らしくユニークなデビューEP”Spray”をリリースしたPowderと、Odoptと長いヒストリーがある 5iveとChidaによるデュオMascaras、5iveのキュレーションするライブラリ・LPレーベルSnakerから、2024年6月にOdoptの音楽性の断片を集積したようなスペシャルなアルバムをリリースしたばかり…スリリングなリユニオンとなる。
どこまでも深く没頭できるROOM 1に対して、ROOM 2では対照的に極端にスウィートなセレクター達が淡々と空間を演出する、壮大な密室の隅に置かれた柔らかいクッションにもたまに座ってほしい。
どの時間も場所も、瞑想の解けないキュレーションとなっているので、汗をかく準備をして、早くきて、遅くまで楽しんで:)
Odopt, making their long-awaited Japan debut after a string of acclaimed releases, will join forces with Powder & Mascaras for an exclusive performance at VENT!
After an extensive career as DJs, the duo began producing music, debuting with the EP Sickert Art Bartel on Stockholm's Born Free Records. Described as "EBM with an E for Experimental," their sound defies categorization, seamlessly blending physical intensity with intellectual depth.
For their eagerly anticipated return to Japan after more than five years—following the regrettably postponed 2020 visit—Odopt will grace ROOM 1 alongside an exceptional lineup. Powder, who debuted her wonderfully distinctive EP Spray on Born Free, will bring her unique energy to the stage. Joining them is Mascaras, the duo of 5ive and Chida, who share a long-standing connection with Odopt. This June, Mascaras released a special album on Snaker, the library LP label curated by 5ive, which captures fragments of Odopt’s intricate musicality. A truly electrifying reunion awaits.
In stark contrast to the boundless depths of Room 1, Room 2 offers a cozy retreat where you can sink into a soft cushion in the corner of a stunningly intimate secret room. Here, the sweetest selectors will weave an atmosphere of ultimate relaxation, curating an exquisitely chill vibe.
