The composition students at the Academy of Music in Malmö proudly present this year’s edition of Connect Festival, featuring newly written music. The third day presents music written by the students and performed by the Percussion ensemble Ode to Noise.

ABOUT ODE TO NOISE
Four newly graduated, classically trained percussionists Daniel Alin, Christoffer Breman, Jacob Aurell and Tanel Eiko Novikov, challenge conventional chamber music, with a focus on giving the audience an experience beyond the ordinary. The four members, who each have at some point studied with the percussion virtuoso Johan Bridger, formed Ode to Noise in 2023 and have since skillfully interpreted works including Andy Akiho’s Grammy-nominated Seven Pillars.

Connect Festival is an annual event organized by the composition students at the Academy of Music in Malmö. Each year, the festival brings together outstanding musicians and ensembles to present brand-new, never-before-heard music.
