Join Burnside Symphony Orchestra and Adelaide University Choral Society for a performance of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony. Symphony No 9 in D minor, Opus 125 was first performed in Vienna on 7 May 1824. This choral symphony is widely regarded as a masterpiece of Western classical music and one of the supreme achievements in the history of music. The final movement, known as the Ode to Joy, features four vocal soloists and a chorus.
The concert will also feature a selection of choral anthems presented by the Adelaide University Choral Society.
