There's a special lesson on October 30th - make sure to read to the end to find out more about it!Starting on October 2nd, our four week beginner series will get you started on your swing dance journey. The series focuses on Lindy Hop, and covers everything from the triple step to the swingout. No partner or experience is required!
If you already know Lindy Hop, make sure to check out our intermediate class series! Our October series is all about breaking your patterns, communicating with your partner, and creating dances that are unique to you.
On October 30th, there will be a special lesson teaching the Mama Stew choreography! This is a short, fast paced, solo jazz routine that was popularized by Louise "Mama Lu" Parks and her dance troupe, the Parkettes. All level students are welcome to attend this lesson!
Our classes are designed to be progressive series. That means each class builds on the previous one, so it is best to come every week! Both the beginner and intermediate classes run from 7-8pm. Each class costs $15.
Please note, students in the intermediate class are expected to know how to do a swingout (it doesn't have to be perfect). If you've taken our beginner series before, then you are good to go!
From 8-10pm is our weekly social dance! Come dance the night away to our swinging DJs every Thursday. The social dance costs $8, $5 with student ID, or is FREE for folks who take lessons beforehand.
Both the lessons and the social dance are located at The Brownhoist, at 4403 St Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44103. Free parking is available in the lot at the corner of St. Clair and E. 45th, as well as on surrounding streets.
