This Halloween, explore the spooky side of Birmingham and the Midlands in a fun, creative workshop inspired by the Haunted Midlands research project.

Discover ghostly tales of creepy canals, mysterious suburbs, and the Black Country’s foggy factories, plus the true story of a ghost-hunting professor who once led the University of Birmingham! Then create your own Gothic characters and mini ghost stories to take home.

Costumes welcome!

£3 per child (1 ticket = 1 child and up to 2 adults)

Limited free solidarity tickets available.

This event is presented as part of Booktober at The Exchange. Running throughout October 2025, the programme celebrates the joy of creative writing and reading in all its forms and will be bursting with activities, events, and opportunities to explore the magic of literature.
