Sunday, Feb 19th at 5 P.M.!This Sunday features prolific piano jazz virtuoso Daniel Asbury Mixon and jazz vocalist Carole Ann Taylor in honor of Black History Month!
Mixon has worked with such legendary performers as Lionel Hampton, Joe Williams, and Frank Foster and continues to be in Frank Foster’s Loud Minority Big Band and his Non-Electric Company. Taylor began her career as a young singer with great legacy jazz artists like Duke Ellington and Lionel Hampton. She is an active member of the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) and maintains her involvement in civic affairs.
The Ocean Drive Association presents a resident-centric and family-friendly concert series, bringing music outside of the concert hall and into the community.
These events are free and open to the public-- and will take place in Lummus Park between 14th Street and 14th Place. Bring your chair, blanket, and picnic - ENJOY! Rainy-day location is inside The Betsy Hotel lobby!
