Oakwood Garden Club Autumn Tea

The Oakwood Garden Club is pleased to announce that in celebration of our 75th Anniversary, we will host an Autumn Tea on Saturday and Sunday, October 4 and 5, 2025. Tickets for this event go on sale July 16th at 9AM, and we anticipate a quick sell-out. We hope you can coordinate with your friends in advance of July 16th to determine which seating you would like to attend and how many will be in your group (more info below).

Pre-Sale Information

Guests who attended prior Oakwood Garden Club events are offered the first opportunity to purchase tickets starting July 16th through August 8th. On August 9th, we will start our public sales. Buy your tickets early!

About the Autumn Tea

Please come join us at the historic Tucker House at 418 N Person Street when it will be abuzz with excited guests enjoying delicacies from local restaurants on vintage china served with expertly paired teas from Tin Roof Teas. Seasonal fascinators and garden hats are encouraged!

Guests are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start times for their selected tea seating at 10:30AM on Saturday and Sunday mornings or at 1:30PM on Saturday afternoon. Expect to enjoy the high tea for approximately 1 1/2 hours.

This year, we are selling the tickets by table and having one person purchase all tickets for your group is the best assurance that you will be seated together. If the group decides to purchase their tickets individually, you will have the option to list the other persons in your group so that we can attempt to seat everyone at the same table.

As an added bonus, an outdoor Makers Market is planned for Saturday, October 4 on the grounds of the Tucker House from 10 am to 3 pm. We anticipate vendors selling unique garden-themed and other decorative arts at a variety of price points. The market will be open to the public, and no ticket is required to attend. The market schedule could change based on adverse weather conditions.

Ticket Details

• Tickets are $75 per person ($81.88 with Eventbrite fees).
• This year, we are selling tickets by table number for each seating. The tables hold either 6 or 8 guests, and you can choose any table that has enough remaining seats to accommodate your group.
• If you have a group of any size, the best way to ensure being seated at the same table is to have 1 person in the group make the entire purchase. This ensures your tickets are grouped together.
• If your group is between 1-3 attendees, purchase tickets at any available table. After ticket purchase, we might move your group to a different table within the same seating to accommodate larger groups or to fill in open seats. However, you will be kept with your friends and just be moved together to a different table.
• Due to limitations of the EventBrite ticketing software, it may appear that all tickets are for the 10:30AM seating on Saturday, October 4th regardless of the seating you selected. This is because EventBrite’s system defaults to a start time of the event to be the first ticket time. Be assured that the ticketing software did capture the seating choice you selected at the time of your purchase and the correct seating will be reflected in your confirmation email in smaller print typically in a corner of the ‘eticket’.

For our guests needing accessibility accommodations, the Tucker House has a ramp on the right side of the house and the portable restroom facilities are accessible. If you need accessibility accommodations at the table, please email [email protected] with your requested accommodation and indicate your seating day and time. We will do our best to accommodate accessibility requests.

Tickets are limited, and the event typically sells out early. Tea seating time and seating options will be based on availability at time of ticket purchase. Please carefully check the time of seating on your ticket and arrive 15 minutes prior to ensure that you are seated when the event begins. Comfortable portable restroom trailers will be provided for the event.

Purchase Policy

• Tickets entitle guests only to the specific date/seating time purchased.
• Please be aware that due to the nature of the event we cannot accommodate special dietary restrictions at the tea. We apologize for any inconvenience.
• All ticket sales are final. No refunds granted.
