Silent Book Club is a global community of readers with chapters in 54 countries -- welcome to the Oakland chapter of Silent Book Club! We are super excited to host you all -- whether you've been reading for decades or just for a month, bring a book and join us at the reading table. Come with a friend or alone -- you are welcome as you are!
For our weekend meet-ups, pack a book and a comfy jacket or blanket and head on over to Chapter 510 next to Swan's Market in Old Oakland. (Click here for our Tuesday meet-ups.)
Chapter 510 is a nonprofit that uplifts writing for marginalized youth. We are so grateful they have welcoming Silent Book Club readers into their space. In order to support their mission, we are incentivizing SBC attendees to donate in order "reserve" a reading spot at our next meet-up. We have non-reserved seats available for our Chapter 510 meet-ups -- the donation to the non-profit is just extra love!
