As we mark 50 years since the Cambodian Genocide, we remember and honor our ancestors who perished, those who survived, and the resilience that carries us forward. In the spirit of healing and renewal, join us and Oakland’s Khmer Cambodian community as we come together to celebrate Khmer New Year in an all-day celebration filled with traditional dance performances, live music, delicious Khmer food, visual arts, vibrant colorful costumes, a community resource fair, and physical games for all youth and grownups. This special day reaffirms and reconnects the East Bay’s Khmer community to the traditions, language, and heritage of Cambodia – strengthening and celebrating our intergenerational bonds. Together, we honor the past, uplift the present, and empower the future.Presented by Peralta Hacienda Historical Park and Center For Empowering Refugees and Immigrants
