Please join us for this very special picnic day. This year we will be unveiling and dedicating our long awaited Texas Historical Marker at 10:00 a.m..
Following our dedication ceremony we will have a brief meeting to update all of our friends on what we accomplished this past year and what we have planned for the upcoming year. there are lots of great things on the horizon.
Oakland volunteers will be selling lunch plates, drinks and desserts (menu to be announced). We hope to have great silent auction items and a great Oakland plant sale, all to raise money for the general maintenance of the grounds.
Volunteers will be giving history tours and a tour of the prairie preservation project area. There will be live music for entertainment and kids crafts tables to keep the little ones happy.
Invite the family, invite the friends abd plan to have a lovely afternoon visiting, enjoying the grounds and exchanging family histories.
We encourage everyone to bring chairs or blankets for seating but we will have a limited number of tables and chairs available to our guests.
