In the past month, the Oak Park Mutual Aid fund has distributed nearly $30k to our neighbors choosing between rent, groceries, medical care, and bills but new requests continue unmet. Some neighbors have been unable to work, while others simply cannot keep up. Funds raised give our neighbors a breather, and temporarily, help keep their families fed and warm. In support of this stunning work led by three relentless inspiring leaders, Lisa Desai, Brynne Hovde, and Elizabeth Lukehart, we will have a benefit show to raise awareness and aid!
We're so grateful for the musicians who have stepped up to play this fundraiser. The energetic sets will get folks out of their seats, and let us dance away the devils outside the doors! On the bill are Levee District, Annie and the Orphans, and Oak Park's own Stone Cold Killers.
