ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
O Som Do Jazz (the sound of jazz in Portuguese) recaptures the grace, energy and spirit of 1960s Brazilian music. Imagine Brazilian musicians in love with American jazz playing in Rio de Janeiro nightclubs circa 1965 β and you get an idea of what O Som Do Jazz is about. The group has four CDs, original music placed in television shows on HBO, BBC, Fox and two Global Music Awards. Musicians include Andrea Moraes Manson (vocals), Alex Malkovich (sax), John OβLeary (piano), Alejandro Arenas (bass), Mark Feinman (drums), and David Manson (trombone/arrangements).
