The Newcastle University Chamber Choir is a vibrant ensemble of students from across the University, studying a wide range of subjects—not just music.The choir is conducted by Laura Watson, a pharmacy student, and James Watson, a music student, who are also the Alto Choral Scholar and Organ Scholar at Newcastle Cathedral.
As part of the University’s Music Society, the Chamber Choir is widely regarded as its most accomplished ensemble, consistently delivering performances marked by exceptional musical refinement and artistry.
For their upcoming concert, ‘O Holy Night’, the choir will present a beautiful selection of Advent and Christmas music. The programme features beloved seasonal works by composers such as Bob Chilcott, Mack Wilberg, Adolphe Adam, Harold Darke, and David Willcocks.
Promising a peaceful yet uplifting evening, the concert is sure to leave audiences inspired and ready to welcome the First Sunday of Advent and the festive season ahead.
