Oʻahu ʻUmeke Information Session
Come join us for an in-person information session at the Kilohana Office on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 2pm - 3:30pm HST.
What’s good for the community is good for tourism.
In that spirit, the Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority (HTA) is excited to announce the next round of ʻUmeke community partnership opportunities.
ʻUmeke powered by the HTA will fund five key programs areas - Signature Events, Community Enrichment Program, Kahu ʻĀina, Kūkulu Ola, and Hoʻokipa Malihini Initiative that aim to:
- Provide for positive resident-visitor interaction
- Support better relations between communities and the tourism industry
- Celebrate Hawai‘i’s multicultural heritage
- Manage, protect, and improve Hawaiʻi’s natural resources
This is the most tangible impact of tourism dollars going directly back into our community.
The HTA has contracted with the Kilohana Collective by the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement (CNHA) to administer ʻUmeke.
Kilohana invites all eligible organizations to attend these in-person information sessions to learn more about the application process.
