Come learn about AI like ChatGPT and Gemini in NYC with tech talks + social time with other AI enthusiasts! No tech background required.
About this Event

AI technology like OpenAI's ChatGPT, Google's Gemini, Github's Copilot, Midjourney and many others will play an increasingly large role in our day-to-day lives. To this end, New York AI Users will host our twelfth tech talks & social gathering at Thoughtworks' private space in NoMad. We're very excited to host with Thoughtworks, a global tech consultancy. They will graciously provide free drinks and food for the social portion of this event, and we're excited to take advantage of their top notch AV system for the talks. The space and accommodations will be perfect for our talks and the social that follows.

From the creators and organizers of New York Tech & Beer®, New York AI Users organizes high-quality AI events that both educate and connect AI enthusiasts in the New York area who use or want to use AI to meet their creative, entrepreneurial, and technical aspirations. No technical background is required, only an interest in learning about these tools of the future.

For our twelfth meeting, we will gather at Thoughtworks and we will host:

  • Talks on AI:
  • For our first talk, we will hear from Galym Uteulin. Galym will discuss LLM security vulnerabilities such as prompt injection and jailbreak attacks, its risks on GenAI applications and how to address them using AI guardrails. We'll cover best practices, real-world examples and techniques to safeguard your GenAI apps against potential threats.
  • For our second talk, we will hear from Amanda Peterson, co-founder and CEO of Producer. Her presentation, "AI Digital Twins: Democratizing Access to Expertise," will guide us through the innovative capabilities of Producer's platform. Amanda will discuss the process behind creating your digital twin, and how these advanced AI replicas surpass surface-level imitation, embodying not just your voice and appearance, but also your unique personality traits, mannerisms, expertise, and life experiences.
Central to Amanda's talk is Producer's mission: to democratize access to expertise and high-value relationships. She'll explore how Producer's technology aims to break down long-standing barriers of connections and mentorship, opening up unprecedented ways to directly engage with and learn from top experts, thought leaders, and influencers otherwise unreachable and unavailable to us.
The highlight of her talk will be a "Shark Tank"-style demo, where people can pitch their startup to AI versions of local VCs. This live demo will showcase Producer's ability to facilitate real-time video interactions, offering an experience similar to a Zoom video call but with unparalleled reach and availability.
To wrap up, Amanda will share predictions around future implications of digital twin technology, and touch on thought-provoking concepts that challenge us to reconsider our notions of self, identity, and deity in our increasingly digital world.
  • After the talks, there will be social time with the attendees and the speakers for the remainder of the evening, with free drinks and food

We’re excited to see you soon!

Note:

  • There will be no refunds for cancellations within 48 hours of the event
