About this Event

This practical workshop is part of the NWSmart5.0 project and will help North West manufacturing SMEs understand how digital transformation can deliver real gains in efficiency and productivity. The session is delivered in collaboration with the Greater Manchester Chambers of Commerce (GMCC) and the Greater Manchester Institute of Technology (GMIoT), and funded by the CyberFocus - UKRI Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC).

The workshop, led by Dr Angel Jimenez-Aranda, will explore Industry 5.0 principles, safe and responsible technology adoption, and practical tools to support secure, human-centric digital change.

The session aims to:

  • Demonstrate how digital transformation can boost efficiency and productivity in manufacturing SMEs
  • Introduce practical frameworks and real-world examples aligned with Industry 5.0
