Launch Event Announcement: NWG Faith Animation
Join us for the launch of the NWG Faith Animation at our next Faith Forum on Monday, December 2nd, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
Safeguarding children and vulnerable adults is everyone’s responsibility – and this includes the faith sector. The NWG Faith Animation has been specifically created to support all sectors, including the faith community, in raising awareness of abuse and empowering individuals to respond effectively to signs of exploitation.
Our community plays a crucial role as the protective "eyes and ears" – helping to recognise and respond to potential dangers. Together, we can spot the signs of child exploitation and trafficking, which can often be hidden beneath the surface. Exploited young people don’t always appear as victims and may be dismissed as just ‘typical teenagers’. That’s why it’s vital that we all stay alert and look beyond the surface.
The NWG Stop CE Website, NWG National CEA Awareness Day (18th March) and Say Something If You See Something Campaign : encourages everyone in the community to raise awareness and take action. Sometimes, there’s more to what we see or hear – and we must never make assumptions about a child’s behaviour. Together, we can make a difference.
We look forward to seeing you at the Faith Forum on December 2nd, as we unite to protect children and vulnerable adults in our communities.
