From Post-its to Parenting: what UX can teach us about being human
Host: Paul Bailey
Info: We spend our working lives designing better experiences for others. But how often do we apply the same care and curiosity to our own lives?
In this talk, Paul Bailey explores how human-centred design mindsets can help us navigate uncertainty — at work and at home.
Drawing on his experience as a UX consultant and a parent of four, he shows how simple design tools like reframing problems, running small experiments and reflecting on outcomes can be applied far beyond products and services.
This is not a parenting talk. It’s a talk about the power skills that make us human.
You’ll leave with practical insights on creativity, resilience and critical thinking, and why these matter more than ever in a world shaped by AI and constant change.
You don’t need to be a parent to find this useful.
If you care about people, systems and the future we’re designing into, this session is for you.
