Nutrition Security: Regional Prevention Agenda Work Group

Across the region, Nutrition Security has been identified as a priority. Local health departments and hospitals across the region are inviting community partners to colaesce efforts. In previous meetings, we identified assets, collaborative interests, and recommended strategies to advance this work. Hospitals and health departments shared their community plans for addressing nutrition security to engage partners in collaborative work. A collection of regional resources has been established and we have started to develop a regional plan.
In this meeting, we will:
- Provide updates and receive feedback on the regional Facebook group centralizing communication
- Discuss county-based food 'menus'
- Explore opportunities for food-based resource tours
- Continue discussion around strategies to centralize communication regionally regarding nutrition-related events and resources
- Identify additional opportunities to align with current efforts
