About this Event
We get all sorts of conflicting nutrition information through the media, whether it’s our phones, computer TV or billboard ads and posters. We hear about detox programs, eggs are good, eggs are bad, artificial sweeteners, and apple cider vinegar, the list goes on! What is fact and what is fiction? Nutrition in Media explores these questions while helping you learn the red flags of questionable content, one topic at a time.
MAY TOPIC: Organic Foods
There are many reasons why people advocate for organic foods, nutrition and your personal health being some of them. How much more nutritious is eating organic? Does it improve health outcomes? If I can’t find organic strawberries at the store, am I better off buying non-organic or should I skip them altogether? These are the questions that we’ll be looking at for the next Nutrition in Media.
