Thinking about starting a family, currently pregnant, or navigating the postpartum period? As part of the Center for Family Education’s Community Health Series, join us for an in-person discussion on optimizing nutrition at every stage of the pregnancy and postpartum journey.

This session will be a conversation between certified dietitian nutritionist Jordana Turkel, RD, who works in private practice, and Lianne Palais, RDN, of Lenox Hill Hospital, with a special focus on postpartum nutrition. This discussion will be moderated by Meghan Reed, MS, RD, CLC, CDN, Clinical Nutrition Manager at Lenox Hill Hospital.

Together, these specialists will explore how strategic nutrition can support pre-conception health and fertility, support a healthy pregnancy and fetal development, and aid in postpartum recovery. Attendees will leave empowered with practical, evidence-based guidance to make informed food choices for their well-being and their baby's future.

What You’ll Learn

  • Evidence-based nutrition strategies to support baby's prenatal development
  • How to boost your energy levels during pregnancy and postpartum Ways to replenish key nutrients
  • Guidance on supplements that can support pregnancy and postpartum health
  • Healthy, realistic approaches to weight management

The event will include a 45-minute presentation followed by a live Q&A, giving you the opportunity to ask your personal questions in a supportive, informative setting.

Members of the Katz Institute of Women’s Health team will also be onsite to share resources related to women’s health programs available throughout the Manhattan metro area.

Light refreshments will be provided.
