<h4>A temporary outdoor stage celebrating past, present and future youth movements around music, dance, and performance in King’s Cross will host a festival of NuTalent on 6 May, as part of the King’s Cross and Central Saint Martin’s Artist-in Residence 2024 Programme. </h4>
Join us for an evening featuring emerging NuTalent from the surrounding boroughs of Camden, Islington and London wide, with five emerging recording artists spanning Afro-R&B, Pop, Spoken Word and Soul curated by social enterprise FishTank’s Antonette Bowen.
Suavey weaves together infectious Afro-R&B and soul music, creating a vibrant tapestry of cultural fusion. Through captivating melodies and empowering soundscapes Suavey delves into themes of love, life, and identity.
Nomadic Libaax is a London based Rhythmic Assisted Poet, who uses poetry and rhyme to question the intricacies that shape life – a running dialogue of reflections on life expressed poetically. He is also the founder of poetically perplexed a platform dedicated to showcasing artists from diverse backgrounds.
Mukuza formerly known as Rich Rhythm has emerged as a soulful sensation in North London's vibrant music scene. With his music gracing the airwaves of stations like Rinse FM and BBC Radio 1. Mukuza's R&B-inspired delivery of relatable lyrics set against lush harmonies has cast a spell on audiences. Mukuza creates songs that delve into self-awareness and offer solace and empowerment through poetic songwriting.
Töpia, a soulful UK singer-songwriter, Drawing inspiration from neo-soul luminaries like Mereba and India Arie, she seamlessly blends elements from her time in rock and punk bands into her sound. With the finesse of a seasoned spoken word artist, Töpia offers a refreshing musical interpretation. Her unreleased single "Moving On" received attention with two radio plays on BBC Introducing and Reprezent Radio and Notably shared the stage with the Rap Game breakout star, Medulla at the Reading and Leeds Festival in 2022.
Sophie Griffiths is a singer-songwriter from Brentwood, Essex an old soul locked in a digital age. Taking cues from legends such as Duffy, Amy Winehouse and Norah Jones but delivering with a modern twist, Sophie showcases a sharp turn of phrase and gift for ear-worm melodies that can be compared to contemporaries including Emie Nathan and Maisie Peters.
