Key Learning Outcomes
This digital workshop, delivered over the course of two morning sessions, is designed to enable you to:
- Experience hands-on practical activities that support the development of early mathematical concepts with specificreference to number
- Develop an understanding of the Numicon approach and teaching materials specific to Early and First Level
- Discover how Numicon ensures coverage to meet the expectations of Early and First Level CfE andsupports high quality teaching and learning through tried and tested planning, teaching and assessment materials
- Understand how Numicon addresses the mathematical learning needs of all children
- Discover useful ideas and strategies which can be applied back in the nursery or classroom

- Understand links to the Concrete, Pictorial,Abstract approach

Remote Training
Split across two half-days, our new remote training allows you to access the same Numicon workshops as before – only virtually and without the travel costs. Book onto this course and receive links to two interactive Microsoft Teams workshops, led by an expert Numicon consultant. You’ll have plenty of opportunities during both sessions to try out activities, ask questions and speak to Numicon users from other schools.

Registration
Once you have booked your ticket all delegates will receive a link to the digital sessions via Microsoft Teams. The link will be sent the day before each session is due to run so keep an eye on your inboxes and check your junk folders. You will also receive a breakdown of the content in each session, as well as a list of resources or materials that you will need.
