Noted for their instrumental skills and songwriting, Nuala Kennedy and Eamon O' Leary are internationally recognized members of the traditional music community, with a diverse repertoire of traditional and contemporary song. Nuala and Eamon recorded their latest album, Hydra, in an old carpet factory, whose windows open onto the Aegean Sea. Here they present stories of the sea, of love and courtship, of work and ritual, of emigration, of war… Hydra reverberates with a sense of space, and a palpable delight in place and storytelling.
