NTX Pinball is hosting a points-race Target Matchplay at the Texas Pinball Festival. Simple scoring, lots of action, and a clear finish line: first to 10! Top 16 qualify for progressive 5X finals.

QUALIFYING — Target Matchplay (check-in at 9:30 AM, take from waitlist at 9:55 AM, start at 10:00 AM)
Scoring: 1 / 1 / 0 / 0 (1st/2nd/3rd/4th) in 4 player groups and 1/0/0 (1st/2nd/3rd) in 3 player groups.
Target: 10 points. Once a player reaches 10 points, that round will be the last. Everyone finishes their games for the round, and we will determine the top 16 qualifiers (or 12 if less than 32 players) for finals.
Estimated length: 10–11 single-game rounds (primarily 4-player groups)
Tiebreakers: Automatic tiebreakers will be OFF. Any ties for the final transfer spot will be decided by a one-game tiebreaker. Machine is chosen at TD discretion. If the TD is involved in the tie, the machine will be chosen by the matchplay.events randomizer.

FINALS — 5X Progressive Strikes (Top 16, or Top 12 if less than 32 players)
Finals will be 5-strike progressive strikes. Each game, the lowest finishers take strikes based on group size:
4-player group: 0 / 1 / 1 / 2 strikes
3-player group: 0 / 1 / 2 strikes
2-player group: 0 / 2 strikes
Collect 5 or more strikes, and you're out of the tournament!

PRIZES / PRIZE FUND:
Trophy for 1st place
Full Field (32) Prize Fund: $160, assumed Payouts (50/25/15/10):
1st: $80
2nd: $40
3rd: $24
4th: $16
Payout tiebreakers (2nd–4th): If there is a tie affecting 2nd, 3rd, or 4th place prize money, it will be resolved using the same process as the final transfer spot as described above.

TGP ESTIMATE:
Assuming 32 players and using 4% per meaningful game:
Qualifying: 20–22 meaningful games played (10–11 single-game rounds in primarily 4-player groups)
Finals: +12 meaningful games played (per simulation)
Total: 32–34 meaningful games → ~128%–136% TGP
