“Electrocatalysis enables the conversion of electrical into chemical energy and plays a crucial role in energy conversion technologies like fuel cells and electrolyzers. Understanding the catalyst material at the nanoscale can be crucial to optimize their performance. Through a row of different high-energy X-ray characterization techniques, we can investigate catalyst nanoparticles under operation and study the complexity of electrocatalytic systems under realistic conditions."
